October 2009

This post is what I will call a “Just for Fun Fridays” post.  I will hopefully be serious and helpful every other day, but on Fridays I hope to start doing something silly, just because.

If there is anything that I’ve learned over the years when it comes to work it’s this:   take it serious, but know when to relax! I think it’s very important to work really hard…most of the time.  Then there’s those times when you just need to chill out.  Relax.  Take a break.  Laugh at something funny.  Life is too short to be a stick in the mud.

So, in this post, I’ve got a whopper for you.  As some of you may know I’m a huge Star Wars fan.  As you may not know, I love to sing.  Mostly, the singing happens in my car, while I’m blissfully alone.  I can hardly imagine seeing myself singing a Capella, without instruments, but I love the sound of it.

So, this post is a video post showing a hilarious a Capella tribute to John Williams, the composer of such films as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and ET.  Basically, a whole bunch of my favorite films and my favorite film music scores.

Enjoy!

Until next time.

Peace.

-Ryan.

So, I was thinking it’s time now for part two of my Crush It! book review.  But, then I found this great video of Gary Vaynerchuk explaining his background, as well as some other great stuff, so I thought that I’d just post this for now.

Gary gives you a great taste of what you’ll find in Crush It! about his family and background.  I even learned something new:  he’s a firstborn (just like me!).  ( I’ll talk about the effects of birth order on personality in a future post.)  Gary goes over some really neat things about where he came from and what he’s done.  Really cool stuff.

Don’t worry, I’m working on more for my first book review series, but, for now, enjoy this video from the man himself, Gary V.

Enjoy!

Until next time.

Peace.

-Ryan.

Amazing Lego Zen Castle

in Creativity,video

I told you recently in my Philosophy post that when I was a child I loved to build  Legos.

Well, I came across this amazing video when I was reading in my Google Reader and I loved it so much that I wanted to share it with you.

This is a wonderful example of creativity and patience, two essential qualities needed for any successful entrepreneurial venture and ones that, in this case, have come together to create an amazing work of art.  I’m sure you will agree.

Enjoy!

Until next time.

Peace.

-Ryan.

As you can probably tell, I am still  new to the online social media scene.  I’m not a complete novice, but I was not participating much before.  That all changed when I decided to face my fears (being ridiculed, laughed at, scorned, etc.) and just dive in full speed ahead.  My goal:  get online and [...]
